RESOLUTION AND CONCLUSION OF THE 29TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IAPMC - VOLGOGRAD, NOV 1, 2018

On November 1, 2018 the International Association of Peace Messenger Cities has concluded its 29th General Assembly, organized in and by the Hero City of Volgograd, Russian Federation. The adopted Resolution (please, see attached) resonates the debates and discussions.

Excellent gratitude goes to the hosts, the City Administration of Volgograd, Mayor Andrey Kosolapov and all the participants at the General Assembly.

The excellent turnout produced also an extremely substantiated debate, for which the topics: "Dialogue on the Volga - Forum of People's Diplomacy: Peace in 21st Century" was conveniently merged with the proceedings of the General Assembly.

The delegates participated in round tables, conferences, plenary sessions and adopted an important resolution, which will be distributed to all the UN Missions of member countries of the United Nations Organization and also published as the attachment to this news article.

The IAPMC is extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to participate at this important international event. We are also extremely happy that we were able to attract new cities to our movement (Lefkoniko, Cyprus) and to reactivate our long time active founding members (Yokohama, Japan, Coventry, UK) to the movement and participation. 

In this regard we would also like to inform the members of the IAPMC, that the presidency for the last triade of the 2016-2019 presidential term. The presidency was transferred to the City of Plonsk, Poland.

The 30th General Assembly will be organized by the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the dates will be announced immediately after finalization of agreement with the 2019 hosts. The registrations and schedule of the Assembly will be posted on our website, so please keep yourself updated.
