MEMBERSHIP FEE PAYMENT INFORMATION

The membership fee is currently 1000 EUR (or corresponding amount in local currency) for the cities of population over 150.000 inhabitants and 500 EUR (or corresponding ammount in local currency) for cities and towns of population below 150.000 inhabitants.

Membership should be paid before June for current year. Once a membership fee has been paid, the city is allowed to send delegates on its behalf to the IAPMC events (Executive Board meetings and General Assemblies). Note that travel expenses of the delegates are the financial responsibility of a member city.

After the membership is paid, the city also has a right to vote (one membership – one vote) at the yearly General Assemblies (GA) or Executive Board (EB) meetings. Voting should be made to reflect the cities' view on the subject discussed, mainly when adopting the resolutions.

The Executive Board of IAPMC has reserved the right to exclude the city from the bodies in which it is represented within the IAPMC if the city fails to pay the annual fee.

Press Release - Oswiecim Appeal
Mayor Janusz Marszalek of Oswiecim, Poland, known throughout the world as the site of the infamous Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz, has called upon the world’s Head of States, in the name of the one and a half million victims who perished in the furnaces, to use the approaching
United Nations’ Review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in May to negotiate steps for a convention for the total abolition of nuclear weapons.

Extraordinary IAPMC Executive Board Meeting, New York (April 29 - May 3, 2010)
The 2010 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review International Planning Committee, comprised of NGO’s from the United States, Europe and Asia is organizing a day and a half long international conference on Nuclear Abolition, Peace and Disarmament on May 1, 2010, the eve of the NPT Review Conference at the United Nations. The conference will be held in the Riverside Church in New York City and will include between 800 and 1,000 participants.
