IAPMC VENUES IN 2009

Two main venues of the IAPMC will take place in 2009. One is Executive Board Meeting, which will be held from April 1 - 5, 2009 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, hosted by the District of Abidjan, member of Executive Board of the IAPMC. The General Assembly is our second venue and it will be held in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from November 4 - 8, 2009. We would like to kindly invite the delegations from city members to attend the meetings.

We would like to kindly invite the representatives of Executive Board Member Cities to attend the Executive Board meeting in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, which will be held from April 1 - 5, 2009 and hosted by the District of Abidjan. You shall receive the official invitation from our hosts, the Abidjan District Government soon. We should hereby suggest, since the visas must be obtained in your countries for entering Ivory Coast, that you start the preparations soon and also look for additional travel information regarding airline schedules, vaccination requirements and other available information prior to travelling. We are all looking forward to a fruitful venue, especially as we know that our friends from Abidjan are planning to invite other IAPMC member cities from Africa to attend the meeting as the observers.

Planned schedule for Executive Board Meeting is as follows:

March 31 or April 1 - Arrival of the delegates
April 2 - Executive Board Meeting
April 3 - Executive Board Meeting
April 4 - Excursion
April 5, 6 - Departure of the delegates

Please address all the questions to Mr. Lamine Koita, Human Resources Director from Abidjan District Government.
You can also send us the questions and we can look for the information you are interested in as well. As usually, the host city is providing the transportation from and to the airport and acommodation for two delegates (plus the interpreter, when necessary) per Executive Board member city. Airline and other travel (including visa and vaccination) expenses are the member cities' responsibility. Working languages of the meeting will be English and French. Simultaneous translation will be provided by the hosts.

Our second venue of the IAPMC this year is our annual General Assembly, which will be held by the city of Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, most probably in early November (from 4 - 8). You will receive all the information pertaining to this event in a timely manner, several months before the event, so you can plan your schedule and trip accordingly.

You will soon receive the circular letters from the Secretariat, it will include the information about the venues, amended and accepted statute of the IAPMC, invoices for 2009 (please note that the membership fee for population over 150.000 inhabitants is 1000 EUR and for cities below 150.000 limit the fee is 500 EUR).

We are looking forward to seeing you at these two venues and we all hope that your busy schedules will allow you to participate at our events.
Please address all the questions and information requests to my Deputy, Mr. Dusan Stojanovic. You can reach him over the phone:
