PRESIDENT MARDER'S URGENT STATEMENT IN REGARD TO THE LATEST GAZA TRAGEDY

The Office of the President of the International Association of Peace Messenger Cities, an association of cities designated by the General Assembly of the United Nations as peace messengers, with population of over 175 million, condemns the shocking bombing of people in the over crowded Gaza Strip.

Statement

The Office of the President of the International Association of Peace Messenger Cities,  an association of cities designated by the General Assembly of the United Nations as peace messengers, with population of over 175 million, condemns the shocking bombing of  people in the over crowded Gaza Strip, a huge camp of innocent people. No rationale can justify this act. We call upon all organizations and people devoted to peace to raise their voices in condemnation.

Our Association, since its funding has declared that cities and civilians must not be  targets, either by nuclear or conventional weaponry, regardless of the claimed motive.

We share the universal outrage of this violation of international law. We can not  remain silent  in the face of this gross violation of international law and morality.

Yours in peace,

Alfred L. Marder
President
